Construction-related dust can result in air pollution and its associated adverse impacts including regulatory fines, environmental degradation, legal liabilities, lost productivity, health problems, and safety issues. Dust monitoring can be a tool to prevent these problems and to stay compliant with DOH air quality standards and the EPA’s Clean Air Act. Oceanit developed a system to monitor dust in accordance with State of Hawai‘i regulatory requirements. The system includes solar powered, continuous dust monitors and data recorders which upload data to our website in real-time. Our dust monitoring system will automatically send out a notice of impending non-compliance to our client via text message or email so that there is sufficient time to correct the situation.
