Information Systems: Big Data

Big data involves working and making sense out of large data sets of unstructured information.  Oceanit uses proprietary tools such as the LAVA (Large data Aggregation, Visualisation and Analysis) framework to make sense out of huge amounts of data that are difficult to analyze.  LAVA is a flexible platform that was originally designed for solving difficult image processing problems for military applications, but has been extended to solve a wide variety of Big Data issues across other industries.  To supplement our capabilities we use artificial intelligence (AI), including machine learning, which offers another perspective to solve the most difficult problems.
