Oceanit will be hosting Altino coding cohorts in six DOE complexes this coming summer, scheduled for the three credit professional development for teachers.
Capped at 25 teachers per class, teachers will be trained in “C” language using the Altino Coding Cars which make learning computer programming fun, engaging, and easy! Teachers will earn three professional development credits, by doing four days of coding, and two days of curriculum development with the Oceanit Altino team. Not only will teachers be introduced to code through the Altino robotic cars, but will also have two days working with other teachers to create new curriculum in their subject areas. For example, a social studies teacher will incorporate elements of coding to make social studies engaging while teaching coding to students.
